Orthocrat’s Surgical Planning Solution to Improve Precision, Patient Care

Charlotte, N.C. — OrthoCarolina, one of the largest and most comprehensive orthopedic practices in
the nation, has selected Orthocrat, the industry’s leading digital orthopedic surgical planning solution,
to provide advanced orthopedic surgical planning and templating software for its surgeons.

With more than 70 orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists and podiatrists, OrthoCarolina and its
predecessor practices have served North Carolina for more than 80 years. The practice was created
two years ago when Miller Orthopaedic Clinic and Charlotte Orthopedic Specialists merged to form a
network of more than a dozen clinics. The combined organization needed a PACS-integrated digital
orthopedic planning solution that would operate seamlessly across its diverse network while enhancing
patient care.

“We closely reviewed the leading orthopedic surgical planning software products on the market before
choosing TraumaCad,” said Steve Hendrick, OrthoCarolina’s Chief Information Officer. “The physicians
on the evaluation committee reviewed the products side by side and were unanimous in their
preference of TraumaCad due to its sophistication while still being very user friendly. TraumaCad will
enable us to eliminate analog film processes and allow our orthopedic surgeons to work more
efficiently using state-of-the-art digital preoperative planning tools. With TraumaCad, we’re able to
further realize the potential of our PACS.”

OrthoCarolina’s medical staff members access TraumaCad through Phillips’ iSite PACS. The system’s
advanced display protocols and flexible review functionalities are available across the enterprise and
seamlessly integrated with TraumaCad. Likewise, TraumaCad’s orthopedic planning tools are available
anywhere on the PACS network and throughout the enterprise. Templated images are seamlessly
updated so surgical plans are available on demand throughout the PACS enterprise.

“Orthocrat is proud to have our TraumaCad software selected by such a prestigious orthopedic clinic,”
said Zeev Glozman, Orthocrat’s founder and CEO. “OrthoCarolina’s choice of TraumaCad validates our
efforts to deliver advanced orthopedic functionality in the most IT-friendly manner in the market
today.”

“We’re gratified TraumaCad has been selected by a site as qualified and discerning as OrthoCarolina,
not only on the basis our clinical breadth and depth, but also on the basis of our Web-based solution’s
elegant integration with Philips Stentor’s iSite”, commented Hayim Raclaw, VP Business Development
for Orthocrat.

TraumaCad brings OrthoCarolina a host of advantages over competing applications. Most importantly,
TraumaCad’s true thin-client, Web-based architecture enables downloads from a central server and
delivers a consistent, PACS-integrated working environment regardless of the user’s location.
